LAURINBURG, North Carolina – The Men's Volleyball squad started another long road trip on Tuesday evening when they traveled to North Carolina to face off against win less St. Andrew's University. The Eagles dominated the match with a three set sweep over the host Knights winning 25-19, 25-21, and 25-12.
CCU dominated this game from the start, winning in every category and also capitalizing on St. Andrew's various errors throughout the match. The host Knights had more attack errors than kills for the match, and with the consistent play from CCU, this match was easily decided. The Eagles were led by the duo of Lance Wiles and Logan Webber who both had 12 kills apiece to lead the CCU attack. The team had a combined 36 kills for the match, with an attack percentage of .203. Michael Hiroskey also dished out 30 assists for the Eagles.
CCU (8-6, 2-2) travels to Lake Wales, Florida for a tri-match when they play Kean University on Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM. The Eagles will stay in Florida and play the host school Warner University on Thursday afternoon. Stay updated on the athletics website for scores and recaps.
