SYLVANIA, Ohio - The Men's Volleyball squad returned to action on Wednesday evening, when they made the trip north for a conference match against #8 Lourdes University. CCU was looking to avenge an earlier loss at home to Lourdes, but the Gray Wolves were once again too much for the Eagles winning 25-19, 25-16, and 25-15.
Lourdes showed why they are a nationally ranked team tonight, proving to have a lot of weapons on the offensive side of the net. The Gray Wolves were very efficient in total attack percentage with a .337 as a team. The Eagles only had a team attack percentage of .100, and were led by Lance Wiles with 8 kills on 14 total attempts. Michael Hiroskey connected on 23 assists for the Eagles, and the team had 23 defensive digs.
CCU (9-9, 2-3) returns to Jill Rendel Court on Saturday when they play twice against Calumet College of Saint Joseph and St. Andrews University. The first match takes place at 10 am followed by a 2 pm start. Come out and support the Eagles as they look to return to their winning ways.
