ABOUT THE EAGLES
CCU (6-13, 3-4) is looking for its first conference road win as it takes on OCU for the first time this season. The Eagles dropped back-to-back games over the weekend to Brescia and IU-Southeast.
Four of CCU's five starters reached double-figures scoring on Saturday at IU-Southeast and combined for 66 of the Eagles' 76 points. Walsman recorded a team-best 29 points.
SEIBERT IN THE BOOKS
After his 20-point performance against the Pioneers, senior Nick Seibert has joined the 1000-point club at Cincinnati Christian. This season alone, he has piled up 259 points through 17 games and leads the conference in free throw percentage as he sinks over 91-percent of his attempts from the charity stripe.
Seibert is averaging 15.2 points per game on 14 double-figure showings during his senior campaign.
SCOUTING OHIO CHRISTIAN
The Trailblazers own an even 10-10 (4-3) record in league-play this season. OCU boasts the leading scorer in the conference in Marquis Jackson who is recording almost 24 points per game and has reached double-figure scoring efforts in all but two games this season. His 23.79 ppg are the fifth-most in the country.
Jackson's scoring efforts are backed by his 82 three-point buckets this season as he leads the country in three-point shooting (4.316 pg). The Trailblazers as a whole have made the most triples in Division II this season (256).
Jackson also hands out the most assists in the River States Conference. He dishes out almost six helpers per game for 113 total assists on the season.
On the other side of the ball, Gary Hoover anchors the rebounding efforts for OCU. Hoover pulls down over nine boards per game and sits ninth in the country with over seven defensive boards each game.
CCU remains on the road for one more matchup before returning home for a four-game home stand next week. Tip off on Saturday at IU-East is set for 3 p.m.
