CINCINNATI – Men's volleyball opens up its 2017 season on Tuesday (Jan. 17) evening as it travels to Campellsville, Kentucky to take on the Tigers in their inaugural men's volleyball season. Match time is set for 7 p.m.

LOOKING AT THE 2017 EAGLES
Last season, CCU concluded the regular season with a a loss in the Mid East Conference Tournament semifinals against Siena Heights and an overall 13-12 record while going 2-4 in conference play. The 2016 season marked the best record in CCU men's volleyball over the last few seasons.
Several Eagles received post-season awards at the completion of the season. Logan Webber was selected to the First Team All-Conference team, while Lance Wiles, Michael Hiroskey and Shaun Kanoho were all selected to Second Team All-Conference squad. Wesley Brown, Blake Ford and Logan Webber were all selected to the Academic All-Conference team.
The Tigers will compete in the Independent East Region, which is comprised of seven institutions from the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), Mid-South Conference (MSC), River States Conference (former KIAC) and the Sun Conference.
CU joins Bluefield College, Bryan College and St. Andrews University out of the AAC, Cincinnati Christian University from the River States Conference, while Warner University is from the Sun Conference.
Cincinnati Christian travels to Wittenburg this weekend (Jan. 20 and 21) for a quad match against Southern Virginia University, Hilbert College (New York) and Lincoln Memorial University. Match times are set for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
