CINCINNATI – After suffering its first loss of the season to Charleston University last weekend, the 6-1 Eagles head to Michigan this weekend (Feb 10 and 11) for the Siena Heights Tournament.
On Friday, CCU opens up the tournament with a 6 p.m. match against Cardinal Stritch, followed by host Siena Heights at 8 p.m. The Eagles and Lawrence Tech face off at 1 p.m. on Saturday. All games will be available for live steaming here.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
CCU split last weekend's matches with a 3-1 win over host St. Andrews, while falling to Charleston in straight sets.
Cincinnati Christian's offense ranks amongst the best in the country, as they sit top-10 in kills, hitting percentage and assists. The Eagles register 12.76 kills per set on a .300 hitting percentage with 11 of theses kills assisted.
The skills behind the offense are lead by junior Logan Webber and sophomore Michael Hiroskey. Webber, who also ranks fourth in the country with 16 aces through seven games, has piled up 90 kills while averaging 4.3 kills per set. Hiroskey's 10.1 assists per set (212 on the season) are the fifth-most in the NAIA. Against St. Andrews, the sophomore dished out 53 total helpers.
Senior Lance Wiles is also a key figure in CCU's offense with his 66 kills on the fifth-best .457 hitting percentage in the country. On the other side of the net, Wiles has recorded a team-best 17 blocks.
Shaun Kanoho paces the Eagles defensively with his team-leading 52 digs. Kanoho has picked up double-figure dig performances four times this season to average 2.6 per set.
SCOUTING CARDINAL STRITCH
Cardinal Stritch is a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference out of Wisconsin. With a 7-2 (1-1) record, they have dropped back-to-back contests to Clark and Robert Morris over the last week.

SHU, a member of the Cal Pac/Golden State/Wolverine conference, hosts CCU with a similar 6-1 (1-1) record with its most recent win coming last weekend at Lawrence Tech in straight sets. Siena Heights leads the country defensively with 12.92 digs per set and serves up the fourth-most aces (1.71) in the NAIA. SHU has put together a .215 hitting percentage as a squad.
