The Men's Soccer team ended their season on Tuesday, November 5th against Asbury University in the first round of the KIAC Tournament.
The Men's Soccer team was in action tonight versus Georgetown College and they came out victorious with a score of 5-3. The Eagles played a strong offense with Nick Smith leading the team with two goals.
Nick Smith scored the first goal of the evening off an assist from Caleb Chesnut. Then David Bungu added a second goal off an assist from Joey Haselmeyer. Tyler Moen followed that with a goal of his own off an assist from Smith to end the half 3-1. In the second half, the duo of Smith and Caleb Chesnut would team up again for Smith to score a goal off of an assist from Caleb Chesnut. Moen would add another goal of his own to end the game 5-3.
Head coach BJ Santiago stated, "This was a great team win over a great opponent in Georgetown. The guys played hard and really utilized the things we have been working on in practice. I believe we have turned a corner as a team and are starting to play with confidence, which should lead to an exciting rest of the season."
Jake Hiance gets the victory with 11 saves. The Eagles will play away against Kentucky Christian University on September 24 at 6:00 p.m.
